3 ways with Castle Garden Stamp Set

Hey there, Terri here! Today I have a treat for you, it's almost my birthday and I was feeling like I should treat you guys to not one, but three cards! The focus of the post is using one floral stamp set and adding in Black and Geometric elements to help elevate the design.

I am using the Castle Garden Stamp Set and Coordinating Die Set from Altenew. All of the images were heat embossed in Copper onto white watercolour card. To colour the images I used Altenew's Hawaiian Shores Brush and Fine Tip Markers. Once dry I added some white paint splatters.

Embossed Background

My first card uses the Cross Weaves 3D Embossing Folder to add a touch of geometric pattern. I added this to a black panel, leaving a thin border and then adhered to an A2 notecard. Using one of the Dymo label style sentiments, I stamped onto white card using black ink. I added this to the card using foam tape.

Stencilled Background

In the example I used the Illusion Hexagons Stencil to add some detail for my floral spray to sit upon. I made sure to not be too percise with the inking, I think this gives a softer look. The sentiment was stamped in black onto white card and trimmed down before using foam tape to add it to the card.

Inlaid Die Cut Background

My final card uses the SimpleShapes Cover Die to add a fun background. I cut the geometric background from black card which I backed with Double Sided Adhesive Sheets. This made adding it to my card base so quick and easy. I left some of the shapes in place to add interest. I heat embossed a sentiment on to black card and used foam tape to add it to the card.

Which card is your favorite? Do you think the black elements help to elevate the design?
