A Sunshiny Day
Now I don't want to jinx the weather but I'm indulging in some wishful thinking today for sunshine.... oh and some warmth to go along with it would be nice too!!
I went for bright and colourful because I think these sunglasses from Concord & 9th call for it... they're not quite neon but still have an 80's vibe don't you think? I used the lined background stamp on the card base and then over stamped that a couple of times with Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide on the large background from Concord & 9th's You Matter stamp set.
The sunglasses dies are fab because the lens die is one whole piece but it is slightly smaller than the frame so it wont show at the edge ... clever design :) I used the arms too but have attached them behind to look like they are folded and added little stars and hearts for fun embellishments. For a sentiment I found this one in Altenews Bright Blossoms that worked perfectly.... I do love to find wording in older stamp sets that will work with newer stamps and dies. Just for a little extra I added two strips of colour to the sentiment label... I think they are touches I dont always think of but do make a difference.
