A view from the porch

I love blending sunsets on my cards but they never quite come out the way I want so I was itching to ink up Sunset Skies from The Greetery once we got our delivery so that's the basis of my card today.

I started with an A2 (USA size) card base and worked out where the porch would rest, and then stamped and masked my mountain rainge from Sunset Skies.   I then used various shades of oxides in pinks, yellows and blue to get my base sky before stamping over with the various shapes in the set in the same colours which gives a lovely realism to the sunset sky.

I used the Sitting Pretty Die and Sitting Pretty Accessories to make my porch.  If you are new to Greetery dies, then is is a perfect example of how they go "one step beyond" the average die set.   For example, with the chair, you get 3 parts, so you can realistically layer a cushion and the cat from the accessories set so they look like they are inside the chair.   You start with the largest part of the chair, then add the cushion and cat (or whatever you want to put on the chair) and then add the back followed by the nearest arm and hey presto a properly "filled" chair.  Same with the hanging plant pot, you sandwich the pot between the two layers of leaves and it looks properly 3D.

The dies could be used for lots of ocassions, handy for masculine makes if you take off the flowers, but for mine I went with a generic thnking of you card as they are always handy to have on hand.   The sentiment comes from Sentiment Suite:  Thinking of You.

NEWS FROM THE STORE

• We're finishing adding our Altenew order today hopefully - it was a busy week last week packing all those initial Greetery orders.

• Our Lawn Fawn restock order should have shipped on the 6th October but it has not yet been picked up by DHL.   We've emailed twice to ask what's wrong but so far no reply from Lawn Fawn so will be chasing it again tomorrow afternoon.

• Mama Elephant should be delivered tomorrow.

• Newton's Nook is in transit.

• We're still waiting on Concord and 9th to ship - that should be this week.

• Colorado Craft Compnay's release has been delayed but that will ship tomorrow so providing we don't get any delays will be here by the end of the week.

• Waffle Flower Crafts is also due to ship tomorrow.

So that's what is due to arrive this week all being well.  As to what will be live when, that's harder to estimate.  Shipping orders always takes priority so we fit adding stock in around packing where we can.  Unfortunately most brands release in the same 10 days every month and with the best will in the world, we can't get it all live at the same time so we take them one by one and I'm afraid you just have to be patient until the one you want is added over the month.  Sorry.
