Alcohol Markers on Embossed metal

Alcohol Markers on Embossed metal

Hey there crafters, Terri here today with a really fun technique; Alcohol Markers on Embossed Metal!

For this technique you will need an embossing folder, I chose the Pink Perfection Camellia from Altenew. You will also need either craft metal or metal tape (you can find this in hardware shops) and finally some Alcohol markers, I used the Primary Essentials set from Altenew.

I didn't have craft metal so brought a roll of the self adhesive metal from my local store and added a strip to a piece of 300gsm card. I ran it through my die cutting machine with the Pink Perfection Camellia embossing folder. The level of detail you get is off the chart.

Next I started to add colour to the embossed panel, I started with a base layer of color on all of the section and then came back and dabbed in more colour to build up the texture.  Wherever you add more marker it disturbs the alcohol that is already in place because the metal isn't porous, I like this and use it to my advantage.

I added the embossed panle to a A2 note card and added a die cut sentiment from my stash. I love how this turned out. I think I will try this again with different style of embossing folders and alcohol inks.
