An Old Fashioned Hello
Long time no see for me I know, but things have been pretty tough here since we took our break over Christmas and has felt pretty impossible to keep on top of things so my time had to be spent on adding stock on weekends when I would normally be crafting. I have finally managed to make something this week though so I'm back today with a fun way to say hello for those of us who remember phones with dials!
I started with the Vintage Telephone Die from Sugar Pea Designs and layered it up in pearl black and silver card and used the Call Me Stamp to fill in the numbers on the dial. Wendy always designs such fabulous dies and this one is no exception - such attention to detail with all the tiny parts!
To turn it into a card I wanted more phones! So I stamped the solid phone image from the Call Me stamp all over my base card in Sea Glass ink (Concord and 9th) to create my own background paper. If you want to do your own pattern - remember to start in the middle and work your way out - that way you'll get an even pattern.
To mount the phone I added a circle of a darker teal colour to make it stand out from the background and finished with a sentiment from the Call Me stamp.
Simple make but I'm pleased with how it turned out for a first attempt at crafting this year!
