Anniversary - Love You

Anniversary - Love You

Hello! It’s Deborah here with you today. I’ve got a special card to share with you this morning. Tomorrow is my 20th wedding anniversary – I married the most wonderful man, and I made this card for him. I’ve used lots of Concord & 9th stamps on this card – some old and some new, along with Concord & 9th dies.

I started by going through my stash to find words that I thought would work to create a background for my card. I used a variety of green, blue, and teal inks. I used the following sets and in brackets are the words and/or image used:

All the Love (various ‘Love You’ words and some hearts)

Dahlia Turnabout (the large ‘gorgeous’ and ‘Friend’)

Just Because (You Matter to me)

Lots to Say (All the feels, the little ‘hi’, You’re My Happy)

Oh Snap! (You Are Gorgeous!, me & you)

Geode (My Rock)

Love & Hugs (Love You More, Love you speech bubble, Various hearts)

Petals and Pallets (Together)

Next, I used the large Love die from All the Love and cut four pieces in white, dark green, lime green and turquoise. I layered them together to give lots of depth to the word. I added sparkle to the letters with a clear aqua shimmer brush and adhered the word to the centre of my card. I added some glossy accents for shine. I finished the front by adding the word ‘you’, also from All the Love dies. I cut three pieces from black card adhered them together and added them to the front of the card. I then realised that I could really see the word, so cut another ‘you’ in white card and added it to the rest.

Inside the card, I cut a piece of dark green card for the mat layer. On the white piece I stamped my message. The main words are from MFT Sweet Nothings, the little ‘love you’ speech bubble and heart are from Love and Hugs.

That’s all from me today. See you again next week.

Deborah, x
