I was having a look through my stamp sets recently and found this Cacti set from Lil Inkers which I'm not sure I've used, the images inspired me to make a New Baby card....

I think I found solid stamps a bit tricky before stamping platforms were invented but now not only can you repeat stamp if your first impression is not up to scratch but you can add extra ink colours to give you depth and shadow effects on your images too. These three cacti are stamped out onto smooth card and then trimmed out with scissors. I love the faces and arms in this set which made me think of turning the smaller cacti into a baby for the mum to cuddle.

I did sme simple masking on the arms to position them where I wanted them.... I think these Cacti look adorable. For a background I softly blended ink through a stencil and then added a sentiment which is a mixture of stamping and a die cut. Unfortunately the die is discontinued but the coordinating stamp set contains the same word of a similar size and is linked below.

I love how sometimes stamps can give you inspiration... you never quite know what you'll end up making!
