Berries & Branches

Berries & Branches

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I am back on festive mode and sharing a Christmas card. With The Greetery arriving in store I couldn’t resist purchasing a couple of things! With so many beautiful products it was hard to narrow it down to a small selection and after using some I know I will be back for more - haha!

Anyway, today I have used the Berry Branch Stencil. I was particularly drawn to this stencil as I do love foliage and although I have used it for a Christmas card you could use it all year round, just choosing your colours for the season accordingly.

I used a Jennifer McGuire technique with texture paste and colouring on my card and I love the result. For this I used some white embossing paste and applied it through my stencil. I then set the panel aside to dry. Be sure to clean your stencil right away too, pastes tend to dry pretty quick on them.

Anyway, once the paste is dry place the stencil back over the paste and just secure in place. I  then used the Altenew Detail Blending Brushes to apply the colours of ink to each part of the stencil. Using the detail blending brushes helps with not having to mask off areas in-between colours. I used the greens and reds from Concord & 9th Ink Collection.

Once done I added the MERRY die cut sentiment from Concord & 9th All The Merrys Dies and the stamped sentiment to go with it from All The Merrys Stamp Set.

That’s all from me today.
