Birthday Wishes with The Greetery Best Bouquet stamp set

Morning all!

I'm back with a fun monochromatic take on the lovely Best Bouquet stamp set from The Greetery's Jubilee collection.

As soon as I got this set, I stamped it out in a couple of colour ways ready to use on future cards.

Layered stamp sets are a real favourite of mine, and this one is super simple to line up in a stamp positioner and then cut out with the matching base die.

I also find that super smooth cardstock like Bristol card or Concord & 9th white card is perfect for layered stamping, as the ink layers dry quicker and are less likely to bleed into each other.

This set is perfect for colour trios and for quickly layering the colours, as the first three steps use a single stamp for each layer of colour. The greenery is one full stamp, then the next stamp adds the base colour for the florals and the buds, and step 3 adds the mid-tone contrast to the petals. Finally, you have a few separate stamps to add extra details to the petals and centres.

So, armed with my blue bouquet, I pulled a few fun sets from my stash that have recently come back into stock. Apologies if any of them have already flown out again, but this is definitely a versatile make that will work with different die sets and supplies to get a similar look.

I selected some coordinating blue tones to cut with the Have a Spine book die and used the Romantic Corners die set to add a frame to the cover and a bit of dimension.

Once I assembled the book, I popped it in my stamp positioner and moved the Best Bouquet die cut around to work out where I wanted to stamp "The Best is yet to come!" sentiment from the Best Bouquet stamp set inside the frame.

While the bouquet was still in position, I grabbed the very versatile Shelved stamp set to add the little "Happy Birthday" sentiment at the top in a lighter shade of ink. I also used darker blue ink tones to add the details down the spine from the Shelved set. I have to say that the Shelved stamp set often offers up some handy elements when you want to add something in a small or narrow space. I've found it to be a useful addition to my stash.

Finally, I added the Best Bouquet die cut and mounted the book on a trimmed down A2 card base.

Until next time, happy crafting!

P.S. If you want to get even more out of the Best Bouquet stamp set and Base die, then it's worth also considering the Best Bouquet Details die set. The petals can be layered on the Best Bouquet stamped elements for extra pop. Plus, the Best Bouquet Details die set can be used as a stand-alone bouquet and layered on the Best Bouquet Base die as a shadow element.
