Build A Garden Rose Gallica Anniversary Card

Build A Garden Rose Gallica Anniversary Card

Hey, Terri here! Today I am sharing an Anniversary card, it's actually nice to be sharing and creating something other than Christmas projects right now!

Today's card uses the Build-A-Garden Rosa Gallica. The Build-A-Garden kits from Altenew include a 6x8" stamp set, coordinating dies and a layering stencil set. This particular kit has two floral images, I chose the larger image and started by stamping it onto 80lb super smooth cardstock.

To add colour to the images I used several inks from the following sets; Red Sunset, Mediterranean Glow, Fall Harvest and Jade Dreams. I used small blending brushes to help get into the delicate areas and have more control. I used the coordinating die to cut the image.

To create some interest for the background I added diagonal score lines onto an A2 panel of card, I scored randomly in the direction that my floral die cut element will lay. I then added ink using one of the light green ink pads. I blended heavier towards the outer edges of the card, leaving a small area vertually blank inthe centre.

I added the ink blended panel to an A2 card blank and then adhered the die cut floral element using foam pads. I added it over hanging the bottom left and trimmed it back using scissors. I then stamped and die cut the word "happy" and added it to the card, again using foam pads. This is where I decided I wanted the word "Anniversary" stamped directly onto the card, Luckily with the help of my stamping platform and a gentle touch it worked out just fine. To finsih I added a few enamel dots from the Wood Warbler Set.
