Crafty Friends

Hi, Deborah here with you this morning. One of my favourite things is combining products from different companies. I've made a fun waterfall card using the Flippin' Awesome and Flippin' Awesome Add-on dies from Lawn Fawn, along with the Crafty Turnabout stamp from Concord & 9th.

I stamped the Crafty Turnabout stamp using pastel inks and then used a stitched edge die to cut a panel for the front of the card. I stamped the image again in grey and coloured the image with alcohol markers using darker shades of the inks in the background panel. I restamped the image using Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed the image with clear embossing powder. I then fussy cut the little elements.

Using the Lawn Fawn Flippin' Awesome die I cut the mechanism piece from white card. I used the large square to cut coloured card squares and the stitched square die to cut white panels. I used the Flippin' Awesome Add-on die to cut a scalloped panel on which to mount the flip mechanism. Once I'd assembled the flip mechanism, I added all the little craft elements along with words from the Crafty Turnabout set. The Flippin' Awesome Add-on set has a stitched rectangle die which fits perfectly on the flip mechanism. I finished the greeting on this panel and added lots crafty sequin bits to match the background panel.

On the inside of the card, I cut a mat layer of bright green card and on the white panel added a sentiment.

It was so much fun making this card. The mechanism is easy to assemble and works really well. What I really like is you can use the dies with any of your existing stamps. Of course, you can get some super Lawn Fawn stamps that work perfectly with the dies.

That's all from me today. Thank you so much for stopping by. See you next week.
