Crocus Flutter Card

Crocus Flutter Card

Hey, Terri here! I can't believe it's Tuesday again, time is flying! Today I am sharing a card using some Waffle Flower goodies.

I started by running the Crocus Flutter Die through my die cut machine, I chose to use white super smooth cardstock as I knew I'd be using the coordinating stencils. I love this die as it cuts into the cardstock. You can lift up the flower petals and butterfly wings to give extra dimension too.

I placeD the die cut panel onto a grip mat and used the Crocus Flutter Stencil set to colour the images. I want fun, bright colours so I grabbed my Distress Oxides and used the following colours: Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick,Scattered Straw, Dreied Marigold, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. I used a mix of standard blending brushes and tiny detail brushes.

I stamped a sentiment from the Paper Hugs Sentiment Stamps in black ink onto white cardstock. I added Glossy Accents to the tiny flowers and Sparkle Glaze to the butterflies. Once dry I added the die cut panel to a piece og bright pink cardstock and mounted onto an A2 card blank. I lifted the wings of the butterfly to add movement to the card and placed the sentiment in place with foam pads.
