Delight in the Little Things

Hello & Happy Thursday!

This week is Colorado Craft Company week here at Seven Hills Crafts and today I am here to share a couple of cards using the BIG & BOLD Hummingbird Delight clear stamp set.

As I've said many times before, I love colour and colouring, but also get easily frustrated and impatient! So I like to find other quick ways & techniques to add colour to my cards & projects!

As I had success with ink blending using the NEW Concord & 9th Inks on my card last week, I opted for ink blending with them again for my card bases. This time I blended a variety of colours not ombre like last week. The results are just as fabulous and the colours are beautifully vibrant.

For my first card I wanted to use the hummingbird and I wanted my colours to be those of which I would use if I were to colour just the bird. I planned out my card as to where I would stamp the hummingbird and the lovely Fucshia flower.

I then googled some hummingbird images and used the following C9 ink colours, Clover, Peacock and Midnight to the area where the bird would be stamped and I added Eggplant and Honeysuckle to the top left where the Fuschia would be stamped.

For my second card today I wanted to showcase the beautiful Fuschia on its own and again, I ink blended colours I would have used to colour the flowers. This time from top to bottom I used Ballet Slipper, Honeysuckle and Eggplant.

Such an easy colourful technique for these BIG & BOLD images. For both cards I used Concord & 9th Eggplant card for the base.
