Driving Gnome

Driving Gnome

As you may know, I do love a good pun and whilst looking through my stamp sets recently, the idea of putting a couple of gnomes behind the wheel of a car came into my mind to make a fun Christmas card....

Oh my goodness.... aren't they just adorable? The MFT Cute Caravan dies are perfect for the little agenda stamps, especially these guys who are driving home or Gnome for Christmas :) I chose two that fitted into the car well and coloured and cut them out with scissors so they had no white border. I die cut the car and added shading using distress inks then stuck the gnomes into position.... not sure they can see well enough from under their hats to drive but hey ho.. Lol :)

For the scenery, I swiped a blob of texture/embossing paste across the card base and then had to leave it to dry completely for a few hours, before using a dauber and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to add the sky. The trees are cut using MFT's Mountain High dies and thre presents are just scraps of patterned card cut into small rectangles. I added white gel pen dots for snow falling and then adhered everything down with foam dimension. The sentiment is made using Bella Letters... another favourite of mine as it's a great size :)

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
