Extraordinary Squares!

Extraordinary Squares!

Hello!

Today I wanted to share a couple of cards I made using the MFT Square Extraordinaire Stencil.

At first I was unsure as to if I would use the stencil, but then after consideration about the time it takes to mask off a shape and having post-it's or another type of masking material to hand for the job I was sold on them! I just had to decide on a shape to buy and experiment with first, so I went with the square.

This first card I made uses the stencil. I simply ink blended some Distress Oxide Inks through to create a colourful square. I then used the Avery Elle Layered Rose and decided to stamp it in a monochrome scheme to pop against the coloured background. I used Altenew Gentleman's Grey ink collection.

For my second card I used the square mask that comes with the stencil and reversed my colours. I used the grey inks to blend the background leaving a beautiful crisp white window.

The layered rose is stamped in Altenew Cherry Blossom ink collection and my usual go to greens from the Altenew Tropical Forest ink collection! The thank you sentiment on both cards is from the Avery Elle Layered Rose clear stamp set.

That's all from me this week, I hope I have given you some inspiration as to how to use these wonderful stencils. Have a fun creating, until next week.
