Floating by to say hiTerri
Hi there, I am super excited to be sharing today's post with you. I don't know about you but all of the Lawn Fawn Inspiration videos last week had me pumped up and full of ideas for how to use the new release products.
I started out by stenciling the background, I used a really light lemon cardstock and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink. I then set about die cutting the Floating Flamingo from a hot pink cardstock. I added some shading with Picked Raspberry distress oxide and added some white gel pen highlights.
I added some die cut waves and then set about creating the sentiment. I ink blended a white piece of card using Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry, I then placed dies from Henry's ABC's overlapping the join in the blended colours to give an ombre effect. I adhered the words "Floating by" with a bit of a jaunty angle to following the waves and kept the "to say hi" neatly aligned at the bottom of the cards.
I am thrilled with how this card turned out, it has a real retro vibe and makes me smile. I hope you like it as much as I do!
