Flower Garden

Flower Garden

Hello & Happy Thursday.

Today I am sharing a couple of cards using some of the newest products from Concord & 9th. It is probably no surprise to you now, that I am smitten with C9 products! I really could have put everything in my basket, but I needed to be selective and so three products made the shortlist this time, Flower Garden Turnabout, Flower Garden Dies and the Modern Mosaic Card Front Die. So I combined all three to create my cards today.

First up I set to stamping with the Flower Garden Turnabout. Normally with a turnabout you would use up to four colours of ink, stamping one each turn. This time I decided to selectively ink different elements on the turnabout. I used C9 inks in Honeysuckle, Buttercup Marmalade, Midnight & Parsley. I did two turnabout panels for two cards.

For this first card I bravely used the Modern Mosaic Card Front Die to die cut into the panel. I then die cut the panel from Honeysuckle, Buttercup, Marmalade & Parsley card stock to create this patchwork card front.

The sentiment is from the C9 Sew Pretty stamp set and I used a tag die from C9 Mini Gift Box Dies to die cut it out. I like how the Garden Flower Dies cut out the main flowers and leaves from the turnabout, so I used these to embellish the sentiment.

Lastly I trimmed one of the panels on the diagonal and adhered to a piece of Midnight card stock also trimmed to the diagonal to attach to my card front. I then double die cut the sentiment from the Flower Garden Dies to create the focal point.

These products are so much fun and after creating these two cards, so many more ideas started to flow as to how I would use them!

That’s all from me this week, Crafty Hugs Bev
