Gold Stars

Whilst flicking through some large cover dies I had the idea for this card and decided to use the Mama Elephant Star Grid die to make a stencil. I cut a piece of masking paper with the die, you could use a piece of regular copy paper instead but it needs to be a good thickness, and then attached it to a piece of card before blending Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink through the star shaped apertures...
When the ink had dried to the touch and with the mask/stencil still in place, I spread a thin layer of yellow stickles over the stars. I used a glue spreader for the job and although it was hard to get an even coverage when the glue had dried it just left a fun sparkle to all the stars ...
Not easy to photograph sparkle but I think you get the idea from that snap!
For the wording I used Claires Alphabet which is an older Lawn Fawn set and just made three sentiment strips with black drop shadows which are attached with foam dimensionals. The stickles had slightly warped the card so I attached the panel to a card front instead and then added a couple of little smiley faces to two of the stars, I used an older Paper Smooches die but I'm sure Lawn Fawn have similar a few of their die sets you could use instead.
I'm quite pleased how this card turned out.... a fun way to say "Well Done" to someone that needs a pat on the back.
Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
