Halloween Wishes

Good morning! It's almost Halloween and while I know it's not a huge holiday here in the UK, it is probably my favourite! So, I've got a couple of cards to share with you today. I've used images from Stampingbella. I'm very late discovering this company, but I love the images and can see me getting lots more stamp sets for my stash :) Here's my first card:

I got quite inky making this card, but it was fun. I started by stamping the background with My Favorite Things Four Corners Background in Versamark. I added clear embossing powder and then used a soft dry paint brush to remove some of the powder and leave a patchy background image, I heat set this and then blended a few shades of orange inks to reveal the pattern. I stamped the girl from Stampingbella's Curvy Girl Loves Halloween onto white card. I used Copics to colour her in, returned her to my stamp positioner and restamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with clear powder. This technique gives a really crisp finished image. I carefully fussy cut her out. I added some sparkle to the stars on her dress and hat with an orange glitter pen. I adhered her flat to the card and finished the front with one of the sentiments from the stamp set. On the inside, I simply stamped a portion of the girl towards the bottom of the card.

My next card features Stampingbella's Mochi Bride of Frankenstein. I absolutely love the image - she's a joy to colour, and I had fun making her a zombie! I used another new My Favorite Things stamp for the background - Peacock Pattern Background. Once again, I stamped the image with Versamark, added clear powder and used a soft dry brush to remove some of the powder before heat setting the rest. I like the distressed effect this gives to the stamped background. I blended three shades of green ink to reveal the background pattern. I adhered the image flat to the card and finished by stamping the sentiment in the corner of the card. I stamped the bride again on the inside of the card, offset to the right hand side of the card. I think I might be sending this card to Kat - Halloween is her favourite holiday too.

That's all from me today. Have fun creating your Halloween cards - go check out what Tara has in the shop. See you again next week.
