Hi and Hello
Jen here and I am really excited to be joining the design team with my first cards using a geometric design and bright colours.
First I ink blended a background using Distress Oxides in Blueprint Sketch and Twisted Citron. I then splattered the card with water to lift some of the ink and add some texture.
Once I had completed the background, I cut a panel 5 1/2" by 3 1/2" and used a die from the Sizzix Retro Repeat set to add some detail at the top and bottom of the panel. I then mounted this onto black mini slimline card base (6"x3 1/2") and added some little silver stars and a sentiment.
For the second card I used the left over 'Triangles' as well as cutting some more and then using the negative space created from cutting out the die as a template positioned them on a 6" by 3 1/4" white card panel. Once I had created the diagonal panel I stamped and heat embossed 'Hi' using Altenew's Mega Brush Alpha stamps onto black card stock and then fussy cut it out. This is then mounted onto the panel. Finally i added it to a black mini slimline base leaving a black edge along the side for some added interest.
