I Heart Pandas - Belated Birthday Card

I Heart Pandas - Belated Birthday Card

Hey Terri here! Today I creating a belated birthday card! I don't know about you, but I've never really liked bleated birthday cards before, they feel a bit lame! I'm almost ashamed to have missed a birthday and then sending one means admiting your mistake and is embarrasing...but when you can create a card that tells the person you are sorry and is super cute too, I think you'll be forgiven.

I started out by stamping out the pandas from the I Heart Pandas Stamp Set, other than some pink cheeks and white gel pen highlights I didn't need to do much to these images. Next I created a background using the Cloudy Stencil, I added some inky splatters for interest.

I cut the Bamboo Forest Backdrop - Portrait Die from a green polka dot paper, this was added on top of the clooudy background using foam tape. I then used the largest of the Stitched Scalloped Circle Frame Dies to cut an apperture from some pink patterned paper. This was wet glued on top of the bamboo forest backdrop.

To created the sentiments I cut the word "SHOOT" from green card, I added them to a curved banner which I cut using the Swivel Surprise Die. This was added to the top of the circle apperture. I stamped the other sentiment from the I Heart Pandas Add-On Stamp Set onto one of the Stitched Sentiment Banner Dies. This was placed at the bottom of the apperture and creates the perfect place for the two cuddling Pandas to sit.

To help embelish and build the scene I stamped 2 butterflies, a little envelope and a Bamboo sprig from the I Heart Pandas Stamp Set. I added the butterflies to the sky and stamped a little trail. Placed the envelope and Bamboo sprig into the Panads arms. The last Panda was nestled into the Bamboo stems to give the impression of it climbing.
