Just chicken in....

I'm still making cards to just to say hi at the moment and wanted something fun and punny so started with the sentiment "just chicken in" for my makes today.  You'll find it on a few sets (like the new zodiac rooster from Mama Elephant) but mine came from Best of Cluck by Sugar Pea Designs.

I started with the Bubble Chicks from Stamping Bella and wanted a fun "hello" background to be part of my sentiment so opted from and older Waffle Flower Die that I use often as I really like it.  I die cut it twice from blue shimmer and navy card so I could inlay one into the other. I wanted to emphasise the chicks "floating" on the bubbles so added an ink blended frame to my base card using the new Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil from MFT (much easier than messing around masking off the outside edges everytime like I normally would!) and allowed the words and bubbles to overlap it.

The chicks themselves I stamped on white care and carefully fussy cut as I wanted to add them to pearlescent vellum balloons.  Some I glued directly to the card with glossy accents all over the back so the glue didn't show.  The two with chicks I just popped a bit of pinflair gel behind the chicks and let the bubbles float.  Finished with the sentiment from Best of Cluck.

For the second card I opted for Stamping Bella's Budding Chick as my focal image and stamped and coloured him with copics before masking him out so I could use the oval stencil from MFT to ink blend a background for him to sit in.  A few pencil strokes over the top made the grass.

The sentiment this time is the unused letters from the blue shimmer die cut on the first card.  I shaped them around the oval frame in the style of the Good Life (sorry showing my age now!) and stamped the same sentiment from the first card onto another scrap of blue shimmer to add balance to the base of the card. Trimmed and popped onto a sand base card to finish.

I have some more orders placed this weekend - not definiative eta's on when stuff will ship as yet but hopefully in the coming weeks so we will have:

Some of the brands who would have major relases in May have had to put them back due to the virus - I will order them just as soon as I am able.
