Merry Drink To Forgetmas

When we were discussing the latest MFT release, Jenny mentioned that the Y in the Stacked Merry Die looked like a cocktail glass - well you know me and my love of cocktails - I ran with the idea and paired it with their Sassy Pants Holiday Too sentiments to make some fun drinky cards for Christmas.

I did the white on white version first - die cut the die from white card and pixie dust sparkle card. I sandwiched a little triangle of acetate inbetween the layers and added a coloured card triangle behind (I used the leftover from the white die cut layer to get the perfect shape and coloured in layers with copics) I then just stamped the sassy sentiments around the die cut and addded a couple of sprigs of holly to finish. There are lots of tiny holly shapes in lots of Christmas die cuts so check your stash - mine was in the Tiny Gift Box Deer Add-on Dies from Lawn Fawn.

I will actually be making a bunch of these as they're perfect for lots of my friends who like a cocktail too. So I made another straight away - just switching up the colours - I used a gold glitter top layer and did a green cocktail with matching green sentiments.

There are some great sentiments in the original Sassy Pants Holiday set that would work with this idea too so you can mix it up and get lots of looks on a similar theme.

NEWS FROM THE STORE

We're going to be playing catch up on packing for a couple of days as the Lawn Fawn release on top of the MFT and Hero Arts releases means we were inundated with orders all last week. With just the two of us it will take a few days to get back on top of things before other new stuff is added to store. This week we will have the following:

The upcoming release from Mama Elephant will be in store on the 15th September
The current release from Sugar Pea Designs is here and will be added asap
The current release from Waffle Flower Crafts has just arrived and will be added asap
The new release from Reverse Confetti is due to arrive this week
The latest couple of releases from Altenew should ship on Monday so will be here by the end of the week.
The September release from Concord and 9th should ship this week and amy be here by Friday. The Color Collection has been further delayed as Concord and 9th have not received their order from the manufacturer. They HOPE to receive it by the end of September so we should have it in early October.

We will get them all in store as soon as we can but nothing will be added until we're caught up on shipping so other than the Mama Elephant release nothing else will be added before Wednesday.

Avery Elle are releasing their Christmas goodies on the 24th September so hopefully that will be here for release day or very shortly after.

That's all for this week - we're having a very rare full day off today and heading out into the peak district to make the most of the later summer sunshine.
