New Month, New Challenge
Pinch and a punch its the first of the month and time to start a new challenge over on our Challenge Blog - you can win £10 to spend in store just for linking up a card on a winter theme so we do hope you'll play along.
For my cards for the challenge I've gone for an indoor and outdoor winter theme - alpine walks and cozy fires!
For outdoor theme I used Concord and 9th's fab new alpine village die set which has elements for all seasons but I took it to a soft wintery vibe with lots of snowy white and soft pastels for that frosty feeling. I die cut the background once from white and added a little grey, lilac and blue on some bits to get a soft colour scheme before die cutting the details from scraps of card.
The sentiment is from a CCC set by Anita Jeram called White Christmas and I used second generation stamping to get a really light inking so it didn't detract from the other soft shades.
Once you've had a nice romantic winter walk, then what could be better than snuggling by a warm and cozy fire. So that's my second twist on the challenge.
I love the details in this fireplace die from The Greetery and its even cuter trimmed up for Christmas with the Hung With Care dies. The sentiment comes from a compatible stamp which has sentiments for lots of ocassions not just Christmas.
I have commissions using both of these sets coming in the new year so keep an eye out on Die Cutting Essentials in January and February for lots more inspiration using these dies.
In the meantime if you want to show us your take on the winter theme AND POTENTIALLY WIN A PRIZE then head to the challenge blog and get all the details of how to play. https://sevenhillscraftschallenge.blogspot.com/2024/12/december-winter-themed-challenge.html
If you're looking for store updates, please note, we now mostly provide those via newsletter as they happen, so if you aren't signed up head to the store and add your email to ensure you receive them.
The Greetery will be instore this week and hopefully Waffle Flower, but we held off shipping that last week as they had postage collage dies due back in stock today. Fingers crossed we'll get it by Friday. Lawn Fawn will be here next week too before we close for Christmas!
Happy Crafting!
