No One Stacks Up To You!

I loved the original Woodland Library collection and couldn't wait to get this cute new add-on and thought it would pair so well with one of the new hangouts too - so here I am with a one-layer card to celebrate their release!

This uses one of my favourite techniques - masking!   I know lots of people find it confusing but it is such a useful technique once you wrap your head around it - you simply start at the front and work backwards - masking as you go so what you stamp next appears behind the focal image.   Here I used it to create a fun library background for my focal bunny on his wobbly stack of books.  [If you want more help on masking then check out the video I did using Purple Onion to create a big scene with masking]

I stamped the book stack from Woodland Library Friends in the middle of the card 3 times - going left and right to add more interest and make my stack wobbly before topping it with the bunny.  I stamped them all onto masking paper and covered up the stamped images.

Next I stamped the library shelf from the new Simply Celebrate Hangouts Stamp in a light grey over the top of my masked images 5 times, stacking them on top of each other (bit wobbly on the top one but it was late at night so forgive me!) to create a big bookshelf.  I picked grey as I wanted it light as I knew I was going to leave it uncoloured so my focal image popped.

Once I removed the masks (stick them to your stamp as you can reuse them a few times!) I coloured the image with pencils, added glaze for the glasses and stamped a sentiment to finish.  Cute no?
