Nordic Inspired Poinsettias

Nordic Inspired Poinsettias

Jen here and today I am using stamps and dies from Waffle Flower to create a matching pair of nordic inspired poinsettia cards.

I started by ink blending a piece of white card stock with red distress inks (festive berries and barn door) before spraying the panel heavily with home made mica spray (water and mica). I set it aside to completely dry before die cutting it with the Waffle Flower Poinsettia Panel Die.

Now here I had to be careful as i didnt want all of the pieces to fall out. I carefully made sure the flowers stayed in the die and added liquid glue to the back of each of them before placing a piece of A2 card stock and pressing firmly.  This made sure the flowers stuck on the card in the right place.  The frame from the die cut was simply adhered to a white card base ready for the second card.

I cut three of the largest frames from the Waffle Flower Rectangle frames and layered them together before adding them to the card panel that has the flowers to create a frame.  Both panels were then adhered to white card bases.

For the sentiments, I stamped using Versafine clair nocture ink and cut them out using the matching die (I'm sorry they are out of stock at the moment but you can add a stock notification) before adhering to the card bases.

I kept the cards really simple, the mica adds some sparkle to the nordic red and white.

Hope you have a great Saturday. Happy Crafting

Jen xx
