Nordic Patterns

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I'm still crafting for Christmas and probably will be until Christmas Eve as usual, LOL! Though, I think I have started a little bit earlier this year and today I've a trio of cards to share using Avery Elle Nordic Patterns clear stamp set.

I love anything Nordic / Folk / Scandinavian inspired and I had to add this set to my collection. I am also a fan of background building sets, I love the variety and making up pattern combinations.

For my first card today I had to use the snowflake pattern! As you know I love snowflakes and this pattern is just delightful. This is one of the tallest of the pattern strips in the set and so it wouldn't take long to stamp and fill a background.

However, for today I decided to create a half border to leave room for a sentiment. The Peace part of the sentiment is from Avery Elle Peaceful Pines. The '& Happiness' is from Lawn Fawn Offset Sayings Christmas. I used Eastern Sky & Ultramarine from Altenew Lapis Lazuli ink collection. I kept the embellishment simple with some little clear rhinestones.

Next I went for a 'traditional' Scandi colour theme of red, white & kraft for my next card and inked up a few more of the patterns to create a border at the bottom of my card. I used Altenew Ruby Red ink from the Red Cosmos ink collection and the Kraft card is Concord & 9th

For my third card I added in green to the colour scheme and created a fun card that looks like it is a gift wrapped up. I used another of the patterns and stamped them down the edge of my white panel.

Though the stamps are not overly long, they are fairly easy to line up, even by eye as I have done.

 Adding ribbon to cards was so 'on trend' a few years ago, I think that is why I have so much in my crafting stash!

This is such a fun look and you could even create the look with patterned paper and a Bow Die, like the 'Lil Inker Bow Die.
