Tiled Thank you

Tiled Thank you

I'm pretty much ready to put the Christmas stamps and dies away for this year but I do find it hard to get back into my groove with no obvious focus, so I found this Pattern Builder set from Avery Elle and had a play with colour to make a simple generic thank you card...

I thought I'd change it up and picked a piece of pale beige card from my scrap bin and used Distress Oxides to stamp out the patterns. I used two shades of a colour family for each tile and white pigment ink too...

I like the pattern layers in the set, they add that extra texture and detail to break up the solid images. I kept the design simple and made a square pattern which is mounted onto a card base with an extra layer between for a frame. The Thank you die from Concord & 9th is a lovely bold font which looks good in black on this busy colourful background.

I'm so pleased with how vibrant the oxides are on the coloured card, they really are good all-rounders!

Well that's all from me now until the New Year, whatever your Christmas is going to be, I hope its a healthy one and involves some crafty time and lets hope 2021 will be much better for everyone.
