Points

We're getting much closer to our new website going live which is really exciting!

The new site will be a massive change, mostly because we are moving away from using Magento as a platform to Shopify.  When we opted for Magento 10 years ago it was because Shopify did not have the functionality we wanted but now Magento has become unstable and so a move to Shopify is our best option. 

We hope to make the experience as pain free as possible but some of the functionality will work slightly differently and as such, there are some elements of data we cannot take to the new site, so we are writing to you now so you have at least 3 weeks to prepare for the changes and save info you need before the old store closes.

LOYALTY POINTS



This is probably the biggest change and the one that will affect you all the most.  There WILL BE LOYALTY POINTS ON THE NEW SITE so rest assured you are not losing them for good.   However, in order to transition we have to close the current scheme to allow you time to spend the points you've earnt.   Therefore, from NOON on 30th JUNE - any qualifying order placed will NO LONGER EARN POINTS.   You can then use any points you have left on your account before the site closes towards the end of July (final date not yet fixed, but we'll give you as much notice as we can)

If you are unsure if you have points (you earn them on ANY ORDER over £10 providing you are logged in when you place your order) then log into your account, select My Points and Rewards from the left hand menu and you will see how many points you have available to spend.


If you are unsure how to spend them - all you need to do is to open the cart/basket page by clicking on the trolly icon at the top of the screen BEFORE you click checkout.   You will then see a slider - scroll it to the right to spend your points (or hit maximise to spend them all) and then head to the checkout as normal and your points will be deducted from your order.


As per the rules of our Loyalty Scheme - points have no monetary value and as such, any point not used against an order by the time the store closes will be lost.

WISH LISTS

As all the products will have a new URL, we are also not able to move your wishlists to your new accounts on Shopify.   We know this will be distressing for some customers who have large lists.   We will have a new wish list scheme on the new site, but it will require you to add your items back in yourselves.

There is an easy way to help though - if you go to your existing wishlist in your account, you can then email the list to yourself so you have it to add the products back in on the new site.  

Just click My Wishlist on the dropdown menu under My Account - see above - then head to the bottom of the page and click Share A Wishlist - see below and enter your email when prompted.  


You will then get an email with a full list of all the items on your wishlist so you will at least remember what you requested if you want to add it again.   We appreciate this might not be easy if you have a big list but we've looked at all the options and it is just not possible to move them for you - sorry.



GIFT CARDS

Whilst you are in your account, please also check if you have any remaining balance on gift cards.   We have noticed that a few people have the odd few pence here and there that they might not remember.   Again, these can't be spent on the new site as the gift card system will be different with different codes.   We will be able to assist people who recently bought cards and have not yet had chance to spend them, with new cards for the new site, but we cannot do that for balances under £5.

To check to see if you have a balance you'd forgotton, click Gift Card from the left hand menu list in your account - this will list all the cards you've ever had and you can click the Check Status and Balance button and enter the code (see example below - half the codes removed for security but you should get the idea)




We hope this makes things really clear and that you're as excited as we are to see the new website up and running.  Whilst change can be scary and with anything new there will be hiccups on the way - we are sure you'll all love the new site and that any of the foibles that have made managing the old site difficult will make it a better experience for you and us too!
