Quick impact with embossing folders
Today I am sharing a quick card using Altenew's Mega Succulent 3D embossing folder and Thank You die. I started by embossing a piece of watercolour cardstock with the Mega Succulent embossing folder, my tip here is to spray your card stock with water before embossing, this gives a deeper emboss and minimises cracking.
I then added colour using liquid watercolour, if you dont have any you could use your water based ink pads dabbed onto a glass mat and add water. I used lots of colours including greens, reds, blues and purples.
Once dried I sprayed with a mettalic shimmer spray that had a green and gold colour tone. I found that as the card dried it didn't look as deeply embossed so I ran it back though the embossing process again, this is really easy to do as the card just slots back into place in the folder.
I then added a die cut sentiment using the Thank you die, I cut it from purple and white and adhered it to give a drop shadow. To finish off I added a few Nuvo drops to embelish.
