Sending Rainbows

Sending Rainbows

Hello, Tallie here. With all the events going on in the world today, I'm bringing you some rainbows to brighten up your day. These cards feature the Avery Elle All About Us stamp set, are really simple to make and *shock horror for me!* they do not involve any colouring whatsoever! And as a bonus, they use up some of those scraps that are hanging around!

The first step was to cut some 1/4 inch (0.6mm) wide strips from coloured cardstock. I used up my stash of Lawn Fawn scraps from the Rainbow pack. I made sure to cut them a little bit longer than an A6 card base so I could trim them straight and neat later. I also cut an extra bit of black cardstock that was a little thicker (about 1/2inch) to ground the image.

The next step involved stamping out the bear from the Avery Elle All About Us stamp set, in some Versafine Clair Nocture ink onto some white cardstock. I wanted the rainbow background to stand out so I left the stamped images blank and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I arranged the coloured strips in rainbow order and glued them to a top-folding white cardbase. Top tip here: a T-Ruler is so handy to get the strips horizontally aligned! I added the black strip at the bottom and the die cut stamped character line on top.

The last step was to add a sentiment. I send a lot of birthday cards so my sentiment choices were from the Mama Elephant Birthday Messages, Sugar Pea Everyday Sentiments, MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp sets. I stamped this again in some Versafine Clair Nocture ink

A really easy card design that can be mass produced!

Take care and spread the rainbows!

Tallie
