Slumbering Sloths

I'm playing with sloths today - and what's better than a sloth? Well lots of sloths in pj's obviously! MFT's Slumbering Sloths stamp has plenty to choose from a long with lots of fun sentiments with many uses.

First off I went for a simple scene using the sloth in the moon coloured with watercolour pencils and fussy cut before sticking on top of a die cut star scene background and a sentiment to match.

Next up I used a simple leafy frame die by Avery Elle some ink blending for the background and a paper-pieced pj set added before die cutting the sloth for this perfectly CAS card.

The Avery Elle frame die also inlcudes a larger rectangle version, so for this card I took the same paper-pieced approach to pjs but htis tiime he was fussy cut off his branch so I could hang him from a couple of alphabet die cut letters using the new Wide Alpha from Waffle Flower Crafts. A great card to send to anyone who is struggling with the new lockdown.

Finally I created a set of 3 slumbering sloths, all coloured with water colour pencils again, die cut them and then created a sentiment with dies and an MFT sentiment set to show the sloths can be birthday images too.

"RELAX" is spelt out using Sizzix Alphanumeric Lable Dies and the rest of the sentiment comes from Bitty Birthday Wishes.

Existing Order Backlog

As predicted, our Christmas closure caused a HUGE backlog in orders. We are processing and packing them as fast as we can and hope to be caught up in a few days. Thanks for your patience whilst our shipping is quite as fast as you've come to expect.

Arrivals

We have just received 4 large boxes of Lawn Fawn restocks and will be adding them to the store as soon as possible.
The latest release from MFT as well as the last card kit are expected early this week.
The latest releases from Waffle Flower Crafts and Reverse Confetti are in transit.
The lastest release from Concord and 9th will ship to us later this week - as always they never ship to retailers until AFTER the 9th when they release in the USA so we normally receive it around the 15th-20th of each month.
The latest release from Mama Elephant will be in store on the 15th.
We also have a shipment pending from Art Impressions and the latest couple of releases from Altenew.

Brexit

The rules on Brexit are beginning to filter through in Government documents - this may lead to changes in how the shop is run for overseas customers both in and out of Europe. We are awaiting clarification and will confirm as soon as we know anything concrete. There are lots of complex rules and they are very new so no-one seems 100% sure of how things will work. It may mean that some parcels are stuck in customs for longer than normal whilst both sides figure the new system out as the "deal" was very much a last minute thing on both sides. If you are at all worried, all we can advise at the moment therefore is to hold off making orders from overseas.
