Snowball Fun

Snowball Fun

Who likes playing in the snow? I know children certainly do and the fun Birdie Brown stamp set from MFT called Pile on the Hugs illustrates that perfectly. I'm sure this set lends itself to some fun interactive designs but for todays card I've made a simple scene using a big alpha for some snow letters in the sentiment....

I like making wintery scenes.... not too much background colouring and any extra images add a lovely pop of colour, like these two friends having fun with the snow. I adhered a piece of coloured paper to a card front for the sky and used a knife to cut a snowbank on a panel of white card. I decided to add the letters to break the sentiment up and wanted to make them look like theyre made of snow too. I used dies to make bumpy slits in the snow but you could easily use a knife to make these freehand.

Once I had those in position it was just a case of adding the other images and using a few die cut pine trees to break up the horizon.

I wonder if he managed to dodge that snowball?

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
