Spring Gnomes

Spring Gnomes

Easter is just a few weeks away and its always fun to use your crafting stash to make some gift packaging for those chocolate treats. I pulled out the Milk Carton die from Lawn Fawn, which is an oldie but a nifty little Goodie box, and used MFT's Spring Gnomes to decorate it...

To start with I cut two of the carton pieces in white card and used a dotty background stamp to decorate them whilst still flat and then glued the two pieces together. It's also easier to cut the window in the box front whilst its flat and add a piece of clear film to the inside too....

Next I made the box up into its 3D shape and added the springtime characters. I stamped and coloured a few images from the set and trimmed them with scissors although dies are available. With some simple masking I grouped a few of the smaller elements together which made them easier to cut out.

The alphabet is by Birdie Brown and it fitted perfectly onto the side of the carton... the words are almost anagrams of each other!!

To finish off the top of the box I used a scallop panel and cut two strips for decoration then punched two holes through so I could tie a bow with bakers twine and keep the carton closed. Of course I had to fill it with some pretty foil wrapped choccy eggs and luckily, for me, they didnt all fit in "wink" ... oh dear!!

I'm going to give this to my daughter who still loves an Easter treat and has a love for gnomes too :)

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
