Tartan Christmas Wishes
Today I have a Tartan Christmas card to share. I used the Tartan stamp set from Altenew to create a modernesque card using some heat embossing.
I started by heat embossing the gold striped element onto some red card, this allows me to eyeball all the other sections that needed to be stamped.
I then stamped in a checkerboard pattern using red ink, I love the tone on tone colours. Then using a slightly darker red I added some of the stitched stripes.
The sentiment was heat embossed onto a die cut frame using the Nesting Frames die. I used the Festive silhouettes stamp set as it has a really cool look. I didn't want a crisp impression so when I sprinkled the embossing powder I knocked a little off so it would melt unevenly and give an aged look.
