The Cow Jumps over the moon

Today's card was inspired by the nursery rhyme; Hey diddle diddle, I wanted to use the line "the cow jumps over the moon" to set the scene for my card, I also thought that an interactive card would be fun, where the recipiant could make the cow jump over the moon.

I used Lawn Fawn's Critters on the farm and Critters on the farm matching die et to stamp and die cut the cow image, I added some very simple colour using alcohol markers. I knew my card was going to be interactive so I cut another of the cows but didn't stamp the image as I was just using it to adhere to the reverse of the already stamped image, giving it more stability as I am making an interactive card.

I used the Small stitched circle died to cut a semi circle which represents the moon. I used a yellow pigment ink to add colour to it. I also inked a background in blues and purple for the night sky. I used the Starry skies die to cut some stars into the sky. I also flicked some gold and white paint to give the illusion of twinkling stars.

I added the moon to the inked background and then die cut my slider track using the Slide on over semi circle die, I added the cow to a slider element and insterted it into the track, on the rear side of the background panel I added lots of foam tape, making sure not to restrict the sliders motion.

I stamped the sentiment onto a black strip and heat embossed it in white. Finally I added a few yellow stars to the sky to balance the large amount of yellow from the moon.
