Winter Friends
Although the winter weather has not been too cold so far this year, I was inspired to play with the Go Girl winter dies from Waffleflower and use felt for the woolly accessories.
I've cut the basic face and neck shapes from the GO Girl Summer dies in skin coloured card and added shading with Copic markers and did the same with the hair too. The winter accessories are cut using pink felt and white details are added using white acrylic paint and a tiny paintbrush. The scarf cuts as one piece so I ran an extra one through so I could layer the pieces for layered dimension.
The background is Dusty Blue ink which has been blended through the Geo Snowflake stencil from Sugar Pea Designs, I concentrated the ink to the edge of the card base to keep the centr pale. I found a great sentiment in MFT's Polar Pals set which is cutrrently out of stock but I'm sure there are many more that would be suitable.
I think these ladies are more in need of wet weather gear to brave the conditions in the UK at the moment but I have to say I do like their pink winter wollies.
