Wonderful Christmas

Wonderful Christmas

Jen here and today I have a fun way to use shaped dies to create a cover background using up all those scraps of card stock you have hidden away.

For this I am using the Sun Rays die set from Waffle Flower to create a more geometrical repeated background on a mini slimline card.  Since the set has a number of sizes you could do this on a larger card too as I used the smallest die from the set.

I started by cutting out the rays from coloured card stock using up all those smaller scrap pieces. I used plain card but you could easily add in some DSP into the mix.  Once I had enough pieces I took a mini slimline card base and starting a couple of inches up adhered the first piece, ensuring i had it straight.  I then followed the pattern adding the remaining pieces before trimming away the excess.

For the sentiment I used the Wonderful Christmas stamps and dies using versafine clair black ink.  I also cut out 2 additonal layers to mat the sentiment.

I added the sentiment to the top portion of the card then added some simple embellishments from my stash to finish it off.. you could use anything for this.. sequins, buttons, even smaller die cuts.

This is another great set of products for creating many card quickly but allowing each to be slightly different.

Thats all from me for this week.  Have a great Saturday

Jen xx
