You're Tops

Morning! It's Deborah here with you this today. I've got a fun Father's Day card to share, made using a selection of Lawn Fawn products.

As I'm sure you're all aware, Father's Day is on Sunday 21 June. And if you'd forgotten that important date, this is your timely reminder!! I've made this card for Jonathan as Kat asked me to make something for her to give him. I didn't really need an excuse. Jonathan's favourite colour is green, so I used that as the main theme. I used the star and balloon stamps from Lawn Fawn's Simply Celebrate stamp set. I stamped them four times, coloured with Copic markers, restamped with Versafine ink and then heat embossed with clear power. Love this technique as the images are so crisp. I used the matching Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate dies to cut out the images. I used my stamp positioner to work out where to stamp the greeting and used the Father's day sentiment from Celebration Scripty Sentiments. I like this set, there are lots of useful sentiments and the font is fun. I decided to use cream card rather than white as it gives a warmer feel. I layered the cream panel on some teal card and then attached both pieces to the front of the card base. I used dimensional pads to adhere the balloons and stars. I used thicker pads for the balloons to give some added interest.

On the inside, I cut a mat layer of teal card and on the cream panel I stamped the greeting. I found the words in Lawn Fawn's Science of Love stamp set. I also added a number of cute little hearts from this set using different shades of green and teal inks. Kat was delighted with the card and it's now sitting on my desk ready to hand over to Jonathan on Father's Day. I'm sure we'll do something special for lunch too!

That's all from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you next week. Take care and be safe.
