I needed a new home card as one of my friends has just moved out of the city to a little village on the borders of Sheffield and she overlooks fields full of goats (yes I know my card has sheep but the goat die was bigger than the house so I used some creative licence lol!)
I used the new Autumn Lane stamp and die set from Concord and 9th for most of the elements of the card.
I cut a piece of green striped paper with the arch die to create a hill, hit my green scraps bag for lots of shades of green to cut the trees (I love how you make lots of them in one pass of the die cut machine so I have a heap of extra's stored in the back with the die for more cards!) and used the matching stamp set to add leaves to some.
I die cut the house and used black foam behind to make it stand out and fill in the windows, and then I arranged the forest around the house, threw in some grass and a fence.
The sentiment is cut from an old Altenew alphabet die - Inline Alpha - which somehow had disappeared from the website, so I've added it back in for anyone who wants to request one. It's one of my favourites as its intricate but a decent size to make a statement with. I cut it from the same colour card as the house and used the colour from the door, and the tree trunks to add an ombre colour scheme that dies the design together.
At the bottom I added some sheep to stand in for the goats I really wanted using the older Happy Herd die also from Concord and 9th and added a grassy border die at the very bottom to frame it all and pull the colour from the top to the bottom. I think the one I used is the Lawn Fawn one, but it lives on a board on my wall so I can't actually remember which it is, but there are lots of options to choose from if you don't have a grassy border already.
I really love the trees in this set so I might be back with another card featuring those shortly!
