Hi, Terri here! Today I am sharing a beautiful sunflower card, which will hopefully brighten your day.
To begin, I used the NPC Sunflower Stencil Set to stencil the Sunflower Scene onto 110lb white cardstock. I used 2 shades of yellow and green, to help achieve shading and depth to the images. I added some white gel pen highlights to give some dimension to he scene. I used the NPC Frames Die to cut a brown ornate frame, I added some brown ink blending to the edges before I adhered it over the stencilled panel.
I die cut the Burlap Die from Kraft cardstock and added it to a white A2 notecard. I then adhered the framed scene with foam pads. Using the Sunflower Bouquet Die I die cut a Sunflower and two sets of leaves. I die cut from white cardstock and used the same ink colours that were used for the larger images, helping to tie everything together. I placed the Sunflower die cut in the bottom left corner of the card with a foam pad, for height.
To create the sentiment I used the Sunshine Days Sentiment Combo to stamp my chosen sentiment onto white card with black ink. I then used the coordinating die, I love dies that cut around the text, rather than just a a rectangle, I feel it gives more interest to the card overall. I adhered the sentiment overlapping the sunflower and frame, again I feel that this ties all of the elements together.
