Hi stampers, Anni here!
There is a lot of fun going on on the Seven Hills blog this week: We are all sharing cards featuring stamps by Colorado Craft Company.
I chose this beautiful lemon from the set Lemon Zest. I love lemons as a motif because they are so pretty and yellow goes so good with my favourite colour turquoise.
I started by stamping the lemon on watercolour paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink. This ink is waterproof and perfect for water colouring. But this time I embossed the image using transparent embossing powder. I never use black embossing powder because when the powder goes somewhere you don’t want it you’ll always see it.
At first I had planed to paint the background with water colours as well but it I didn’t like how it turned out. To not waste the whole piece of water colour paper I fussy cut the lemon leaving no border.
I also stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the same set in white on black cardstock.
For the panel I die cut one of Lawn Fawn’s Zig Zag Rectangle Stackables from some patterned paper.
Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.
Anni
