Hello, Terri here! Today I have a birthday card with a witchy twist!!!
I started by die cutting all of the embellishment Icons from the Spellciall Icons Die Set. I ink blended them and added white gel pen highlights. I added the ribbon band to the witches hat and then arranged all of the icons on the hat. I love the candles that are made from bones, how cool are they?
To create the background for the card I used the Spider Web Texture Die to cut into white card stock. I trimmed it to measure 4 by 5.25 inches and blended some black ink around the edges to give a bit more of a moody feel. I then splattered gold ink over the panel.
The sentiment was white heat embossed onto black card using the Spellcial Sentiments Combo Set. This set includes the coordinating dies, which I used to cut the sentiments out. I used the dies to cut twice more from black cardstock and layered the heat embossed version on top to give a thicker sentiment, this is easier that trying to add foam tape to thin sentiments.
To bring everything together, I added the textured background to a white A2 card base. I then added the witches hat with thin foam pads. I Placed the moon slightly above the hat and to the left. I then adhered the sentiments below the hat.
I am so pleased with how this card turned out, it's perfect for anyone who has a birthday around Halloween or for somebody who likes all things withcy..
