Happy Thursday!
I couldn't wait any longer! Today I had to share a couple of cards I have made using Concord & 9th Bold Butterflies stamp set & coordinating dies. As soon as I saw peeks of these on Instagram, I knew all of the butterflies would be coming to live with me in my studio!
I am a complete sucker for butterflies. In real life their delicateness and detail facinates me and in stamp form, well the creativity is usually endless. However, today I have just two cards to share with you!
First up I wanted a soild butterfly without any writing on. The more solid stamps come with beautiful sentiments, which is lovely. But I wanted to create a background of colourful silhouettes. This is where the coordinating dies come in handy.
I was able to create my own stencils to ink the beautiful silhouettes I wanted. I added a few hearts which is one of the accent stamps in the set and then added a few little trio of circles, which is a stamp from the Rainbow Turnabout stamp set.
I then stamped and clear embossed the 'You Are Amazing' Butterfly, die cut and added one of the strip sentiments also die cut with the little banner die - LOVE!
For my second card today I kept things a little more clean & simple, with more white space and to let the single butterfly take centre focus.
Again I used both the smaller accent stamps to create a focal background. I chose to stamp in a monochrome scheme as I knew I would be colouring the butterfly with bright colours.
For the butterfly I stamped in black & embossed clear the wings first. I then used the coordinating die to die cut and then went back to stamp & embossed the body. I used a selection of bright alcohol markers to colour. To finish I added another of the strip sentiments stamped and die cut with the banner.
Absolutely LOVE this stamp set & dies. I'm sure it won't be too long before you are seeing more of these from me ;)
Until next time, have a wonderful day.
