My card is seasonally inspired again today and it's the first outing for this stamp set for me too. Every so often I crack out the watercolours and these Big & Bold images from Colorado Crafts are fun to experiment with.....
Perhaps its because of the blending colours but I find it easier to paint leaves, I don't go super detailed and I'm pretty happy with the result.... the hardest part is remembering to walk away between colours/layers and allowing the image to dry. I stamped and painted the whole image and then used a card sized template to decide how to crop the piece.
I chose a brush lettered sentiment from Altenews Painted Greetings because of it's nice bold style, I used a flower stem from an older set to underline the wording... I'm always looking for other ways to use stamps!! I simply adhered the watercoloured panel to a pale brown card base.... nothing else needed as the oak branch takes centre stage!!
Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
