Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing a cake themed card using 5 Lawn Fawn products, it's perfect for Weddings or Anniversaries too.
I started off by die cutting all of my chosen elements from the Build-A-Cake Die and Build-A-Cake Add-On Die. I cut from 110lb white card stock. I ink blended the main cake sections using some beige and brown inks and then added a few darker brown splatters. I used the thin curved die to cut some fruit filling, I ink blended this with red ink and added some glitter glue over the top.
From the Build-A-Cake Add-On Die I cut the I cut the drippy glaze, which I coloured with brown inks to look chocolatey. I also cut the cake stand and some strawberries. I used a very light dusting of teal ink to give the effect of a glass stand. I added some pipped ganche details at the base of each tier and then placed the strawberries before adding white gel pen highlights.
I used the Outside In Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Dies to cut a piece of Spiffier Speckles 6x6 paper, whihc I adhered to an A2 white card blank. I then moved on to my sentiment. I die cut a white banner from the Simple Wavy Banners Die set and used sentiments from the Henry's Build-A-Sentiments - Spring Stamps. I curved the sentiments to follow the wavy of the banner and stampe in blank ink, in hindsight I should of gold heat embossed for a classy look. I scored and folded back the ends of the banner and slighly added some ink to soften the stark white. I added all the pieces to my card using foam pads.
Thank you for stopping by today, come back again tomorrow for more inspiration from the design team.
