Jen here and today I am adding to the Christmas card stash with a cute masked scene card using the new Stacey Yacula stamp from My Favourite Things - Christmas Carols.
Masked cards dont have to be complicated, I kept it simple with this one by overlapping 3 of the characters but dont be afraid to map out what images you want at the front on a scrap piece of paper first before you start.
I started by stamping the image i wanted at the front both on the card panel and a piece of Altenew Masking paper. This a great choice as the masks can be used multiple times. I then cut out the mask and added it over the front image before adding the other critters from the set. I did create masks for them all as I wanted to do some ink blending.
I coloured in the animals using alcohol markers and the masked them all off before adding some Chipped Sapphire distress oxide blending into the background with a halo effect around the images. I removed the masks then added some snow splatter with thinned white paint lightly over the whole panel. I then added a sentiment from the same stamp set to the bottom.
I trimmed down the panel slightly to centre it and then mounted it onto an A2 card panel adding a strip of glitter card stock to the edge for some added interest to the finished card.
I hope you like todays inspiration. Have a great Saturday
Jen xx
