This cute little fox from Mama Elephant's Stackable Cuties started this card. He was waiting for a long time in my stash precoloured. When I found him again I know I wanted to use him on a card.
A fox needs a forest so I started thinking how to create one. I had Mama Elephant's Winter Forest Cover in my mind but I didn't want to make a winter card.
I die cut the background from white and the lower part from green cardstock. I added flicks of warm grey to the trunks to create the look of birchs. Then I added leaves that I die cut using the leaves dies that can be found in Mama Elephant's Tree Branch Cover. It's a prefect chance to use up some scraps. I glued the leaves to the trunks and the winter trees became summer trees.
For the sentiment I stamped a It's Your Birthday from My Favorite Things Bitty Birthday Wishes and heat embossed it in white on a stripe of orange cardstock matching the fox.
And that finished up my card.
