Again I have taken a break from Christmas crafting and couldn’t wait to ink up this new beauty from Concord & 9th, Triple - Step Floral Frame Stamp and the coordinating Triple - Step Floral Frame Dies.
For this first card I gave the Triple Step a whirl. It was easy and fun to use and create such a beautiful frame. The flowers are spaced lovely to easily ink in different colours too. Plus the frame comes with a few gaps to fill with the individual flowers.
The sentiment is a lovely size, stunning handwritten font and it is easy to place inside the frame once stamped. I used the frame die, which is pretty genius in that it comes with a decorative mat layer and a thin decorative edge, which I have die cut in a contrasting colour of C9 Peacock. I like how it gives the effect of a coloured mat layer, but it is actually the same layer without the bulk.
For my second card today I wanted to use another of the sentiments and a mix of the individual stamps to create a floral spray around the sentiment.
For interest and slight dimension I used a mixture of stamping direct onto my mat layer and also stamping and die cutting the rose and some foliage. Simple but fun.
