Happy Thursday!
I hope you are all well and having a good week, the summer holidays seem to be flying by here even enjoying them at a slower pace! Today I have my usual CAS style card to share with you today.
No surprises that I was inspired to reach for some Concord & 9th products, I love their designs and quality. I decided to dust off the Bold Butterflies stamp set and this time paired it with the Paint Swatch Turnabout in a different way.
So I started with the background paint swatches. I left the stamp on its carrier sheet, inked one swatch I wanted to use with the lightest Aqua Sky and stamped on to my mat layer. I repeated the process for the darker shade to the right, Peacock and then used another of the swatches to stamp the middle in Oceanside. I love looking at larger stamps to see how they can be used differently. I love how it turned out.
I wanted a bit of a paint splatter effect too, to add a little interest, so I used some Mushroom ink mixed with a little water and a paint brush to splatter across the card. It’s quite subtle to what I was wanting, but left as is not to ruin the card!
I then stamped the butterfly & sentiment. Popped the panel onto my card base using foam adhesive. Simple, but I am pleased with the result.
That’s all from me this week. I hope I have inspired you to have a look at your larger stamps to see how you can use them in a different way. Until next week.
